Autumn 1- Textiles

This term we have looked at using the running stitch to create our very own animal puppet. We started off the unit by doing lots of investigating with different designs, using materials that already had the holes in. We then moved onto using felt to create a running stitch, which we would use for our puppets. The children loved designing and making their own puppets. They worked really hard to remember how to thread the needle and to tie a knot at the end. The pictures are some of the final puppets that 3W created.
