Character Education at Beech Hill Primary School
Character education plays a huge part in allowing the school community to give all of the children the best start in life and have high aspirations for the future. We have adopted the three core themes of ‘Mirror Image’, ‘Stickability’ and ‘Community Spirit’ to work on children’s character development at Beech Hill. These themes underpin the strong positive culture of the school and the school community, they were chosen with the input of staff, pupils, families and people from our local community. Character development is embedded within our creative and rich curriculum, which offers children new experiences to build confidence and resilience. Each half term the school explores and works on a focus virtue, with children reflecting on their own life experiences.
