Printing tiles

The children worked really hard over the autumn term looking at the artist William Morris. We did a lot of work around sketching and using pencils to shade. We then used William Morris’s work to help us design our own tiles for printing. It was tricky to draw our final designs onto the tiles and we had to be careful not to go through! However, they all turned out amazing and you can see the detail the children have put into their work.

DT- Textiles

As part of our first DT unit, we are going to be making our own animal puppets. We have been investigating how to do a running stitch with binca material first before using felt.

Below are some examples of our final animal puppets that we were so happy with. The children have worked so hard this term!
