Trips

Life Science Centre

We had the best trip to the 'Life Science Centre' as part of our science topic. This was the first visit for some children and they were not disappointed. We got to take part in a 'Disgusting Digestive System workshop', where we created our own digestive systems and learnt how the different parts of our body help to digest food. We then got to explore the different parts of the centre and all the exciting science creations.

To finish off our trip, we got to also see a Science show and into the planetarium to watch an animation about space. It was definitely one of our favourite trips we have been on and the children learnt a lot.

Great North Museum

This half term, we were lucky to visit the Great North Museum. We had a workshop all about the Stone Age, where we got to look at different artefacts that had been found. We then had to label them and decide what they were used for.

We also got to look around the whole museum and create our own sketches of the animals, which we have been learning about in Art. We all had a great day and learnt lots of new things.
