Mental Health Awareness Training
There will be a Mental Health Awareness Training course on the 7th February 9.30am – 12.30pm at Hadrian School. There will be a mix of parents & carers/professionals on the training.
It’s a great opportunity for attendees to have an introduction to mental health covering:
- Defining mental health and some common mental health issues
- Identify stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues
- Relate to people’s experiences and support people in distress
- Look after your own mental health.
This is an introductory course and lasts three hours.
The session will be a mix of presentations, group interaction, and activities. Our instructor provide a safe learning environment and are trained to support you throughout the whole course. If you don’t feel comfortable joining in certain parts, then there is no pressure to.
Due to some of the sensitive subjects of our courses, we limit numbers. We want everyone to feel safe and our instructors can help if people find some parts particularly difficult.
Please contact Hadrian School on 0191 273 4440 or email david.palmer@hadrian.newcastle.sch.uk if you would like further information.
