Easter at Westerhope Methodist Church
After a two year absence due to Covid, we were delighted to be able to celebrate Easter once again with Reverend Juliet and our friends from Westerhope Methodist Church. The children learned that Easter is a time of mixed emotions for Christians and the theme of Rev Juliet's service was about the different feelings we can all feel at times. The children wrote messages on the back of emojis about their feelings and some read these out in church.
There was also lots of singing! The children have been working really hard in assembly times to learn their Easter songs and they created a lovely atmosphere in church with their singing.
The service was also special as it was the last time we'll have a service in the church with Rev Juliet, who is moving onto her new parish in the summer. We'd like to take this moment to thank Rev Juliet for all the assemblies and services she has given us over the last ten years and we wish her the best of luck in her new parish.
