Year 6 at Safety Works

We do many things at Beech Hill to teach the children about safety, including visits from the coast guard, road safety, bikeability lessons and swimming lessons.
We also take our Year 6 children to a centre called Safety Works. The children in Year 6 are growing up. Some may walk to and from school and next year, when they are high school, they may also need to use transport, like the bus or a metro. So we think it's important that the children start to learn now about ways to keep themselves safe as they become more independent.
We thought you would like to see some photos from Year 6's trip to Safety Works, where the children learned about dangers in the home, at train platforms and in shops.
