Walking Football

Parents, have you heard of Walking Football?

Walking Football is exactly the same as normal football except players walk instead of run (speed walking allowed). The game is designed to help adults get fit or maintain an active lifestyle no matter what their age or fitness levels.

Walking Football has many health benefits which include lowering heart rates and blood pressure, lowering obesity levels and increasing fitness levels and muscular endurance.

As well as the associated health benefits walking football offers participants a range of social benefits including meeting new people, interaction with individuals and groups and avoiding becoming isolated, particularly for older people.

Currently sessions are held at:

 

Monday

Excelsior Academy 7-8pm

 

Tuesday

Walker Activity Dome 5-6pm

 

Wednesday

Royal Quays Powerleague 7-8pm (soon to move to Foxhunters)

 

Thursday

Palmersville Sports Pavilion 11-12pm

 

People can just turn up on the day there is no need to book!
