The Big Walk

At Beech Hill, we are always stressing to the children the importance of taking care of their community and contributing to it in a positive way. This is why this year we launched our Dame Nelson Award to recognise those children who make a big contribution to our community.
Last week, we took the children for a Big Walk. This is a national project where children are taken for a walk around their local area so they can raise the awareness of drivers about pedestrians and speed limits. Some children make signs to take with them on the walk. On the walk, we reminded the children of safe places to cross like subways and bridges.
