Science Week!

5th March 2021

We are returning to school just in time to take part in the great British Science week.

Every afternoon, all the children will be taking part in different fun science activities developing their scientific understanding and skills.

Dress as a scientist day

On Thursday 11th March, all children are invited to come into school dressed as scientists so put on a white shirt as a lab coat or come dressed as your favourite TV or historical scientist on that day.

Science competition

As part of the theme for the week:

‘Innovating for the future’

Children are invited to take part in a competition at home. The children are invited to design a machine that could be used for transport in the future. It could be a new type of car, plane or in line with the recent news of the probe landing on Mars, a rocket.

Entries can either be drawings, paintings or models made out of building materials such as Lego or junk. All entries need to be brought into school by Wednesday 17th March and prizes will be given for the best entries.

So put on your engineer hats on and come up with ideas of what transport may look like in the future.
