Chinese New Year

As part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations, every class will take part in some Chinese activities in class as well as having a delicious Chinese lunch served on Friday.

Valentine’s Disco

On Friday, all classes will be given the opportunity to attend a special Valentine’s Day disco in the school hall. Nursery and Reception children can come to school in party clothes and their disco will be in the morning. Y1-Y6 will be able to bring party clothes in to school to get changed after lunch and their disco will be in the afternoon. Children are invited to make a donation of £1 (which will be paid to Macmillan Cancer Charity) to wear their party clothes and can bring money with them to buy a drink, crisps and cakes. We would welcome any donations of cakes by Thursday to help support this exciting event!

All children from Year 1 to Year 6 learn about telling the time as part of their Maths Curriculum. Therefore, we encourage children to wear a watch in school if they have one. We do not allow children to wear watches which have any sort of camera or filming device built in for safeguarding reasons, and would not advise any children coming to school with very expensive watches. Thank you.

Parking at the school gates

Can I remind all parents and carers dropping off and collecting children by car, that parking in front of the school gates is not allowed and dangerous. The gates need to be kept clear at all time to allow access to and from the car park and in case of an emergency. Thank you.

Homeless Charity Donations

As part of our Character project, Mrs Fielding is working closely with two charities that provide food and clothing to homeless people and families in Newcastle. If anyone has any old clothing (good quality), unwanted toiletries or curtains (for families recently rehomed) then please send it in to Mrs Fielding and she will drop it off at the support bases.

Friendly reminder

As all staff in school carry out their role by displaying respect and courtesy towards all of our pupils, we expect all parents and carers to show the same respect when speaking to all members of school staff. Thank you.
