School Closure - A letter from Mrs Eatock

19th March 2020

19th March 2020

Dear Parents and Families,

It is with a very heavy heart that I write to notify you that Beech Hill Primary will close its doors this Friday 20th March until further notice. This is following the announcement made by the Education Minister last night.

From Monday, children of key workers (who aren’t already in isolation and have no other childcare givers within family or friends), and vulnerable pupils will be able to attend Beech Hill where staff will be based to offer childcare. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee there will be first aiders on site every day. The day will run from 8.50 – 3.10 with lunch provided.

I would like to thank all of our families for their overwhelming support over the last couple of weeks and helping us to retain some sense of normality.

I also want to thank my incredible staff team who have, and who will continue to make every effort to come in to work to support those still coming in. There are challenging and uncertain times ahead but we belong to an incredible community and will support each other through this. The teachers will work hard to keep our school website up to date with tasks for the children and, of course, we will notify you of any developments through our Facebook page and website. New activities and tasks will be on the school website on Mondays and Thursdays from Years 1 – 6: Early Years staff will use Tapestry to communicate with parents.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Jess Eatock
