NSPCC Workshops and Help for Parents Online

9th February 2017

This week in assembly, the NSPCC spoke to our children about the importance of Speaking Out and Staying Safe. The children learned about which adults in and out of school they could talk to, including if there are things happening online that they are worrying about. The NSPCC will be returning to hold some workshops with Year 5 and 6 children next week.

NSPCC staff have also offered us a free workshop for parents about online safety. Mrs Mantle will confirm the date in due course, but hopefully it will be arranged for some time after half term. We will confirm the date with you as soon as possible.

Cards with details of how you can access help with online safety are available to collect from our main office.  The cards have been produced in partnership with 02 and the NSPCC.

If you visit nspcc.org.uk/o2 , there are tips on how to keep your children safe online. Also, there are details of how you can visit an O2 store and they will help you set up parental controls on your phone. This service is free of charge.
