Dear Families,

I hope you are all well and enjoyed the wonderful weather over much of the bank holiday weekend. It was lovely to see how people were celebrating VE day whilst in lockdown. I hope you enjoyed your celebrations if you marked the day.

Like me, I am sure that many of you watched our Prime Minister's speech last night. It will have left you with many questions. His messages have certainly given school leaders a lot to think about and, because we only received the information at the same time as you, we do not have all of the answers yet. As soon as we do, we will keep you up to date.

Over the coming days, the government will be formulating a detailed plan so that, should the science say that it is safe to begin a phased opening of our school, we know how that should look. You can be certain that the safety of our entire school community is our primary concern and any decisions will be centred around this.

For now we will continue to run as we have been. Your child's teachers will continue to update the school website with home learning ideas and guidance and contact you on dojo. You and your children are doing an amazing job in such challenging circumstances. Thank you for all of your wonderful photographs and communications. Keep them coming! My cajon progress is very limited I’m afraid – I won’t be joining a band anytime soon.

If you haven’t already seen it, check out the video from some of the year 2s on our Facebook page, all the teachers and support staff  loved it, thank you.

Wishing you the very best, stay safe until we see you all again.

With love and best wishes,

Mrs  Eatock

Head teacher.
