Harvest at Westerhope Methodist Church

6th October 2016
At Beech Hill, we believe it is really important that we take the children to places in our local community. One of our closest neighbours is Westerhope Methodist Church. Reverend Juliet is a regular visitor to our school and we also go to visit her in the church.

This week, we took the children to church to celebrate Harvest. The children sang traditional Harvest songs such as 'All things bright and beautiful' and 'Autumn Days'.  Reverend Juliet told us about the importance of sharing with others. She told us about her church's current project to support Water Aid and then some children read out important tips on how to save water.

This was a real nice event and a lovely way for children of all faiths to say thank you for this year's Harvest.
