Ashton and Dean at the National Thank You Letter Competition

12th May 2016

We are very excited to announce that Ashton Wakenshaw from Year 2 has been shortlisted as a finalist in the National Thank You Letter Competition. His letter of gratitude, which he wrote to his best friend Dean, has been judged to be one of the best out of 40,000 entries and yesterday (Wednesday 11th May) we took Ashton and Dean to an awards ceremony in Birmingham to celebrate his outstanding letter, demonstrating to children all over the country the importance of gratitude and friendship. Ashton then brilliantly read his letter out loud on stage. He was one of only seven children to read his letter on stage and he went first! Well done Ashton!

Ashton's mum has very kindly allowed us to upload a video of him reading his letter on stage in Birmingham.
