An urgent appeal from Newcastle West End Foodbank

15th June 2017

You may be aware that here in the West End of Newcastle we have the busiest foodbank in the UK.  They have their own Facebook page called Newcastle West End Foodbank. This week, the foodbank launched an appeal for donations of food, as their supplies are running very low. The story was featured this week in the Evening Chronicle.

Their staff have kindly asked if we could collect some donations to pass on to the foodbank.

Possible donations could include:

Cereal

Pasta and pasta sauce

Milk UHT or Powdered

Sugar (500g)

Fruit Juice (Long life)

Tinned tomatoes

Tinned fish

Tinned meat

Tea bags or instant coffee

Biscuits or snack bars

Tinned rice pudding

Rice

Tinned fruit

The staff at the foodbank have said that any donations would be very gratefully received. Items can be dropped in at our office or brought into school by the children. Thank you for your help with this very good cause.
